Because of the typically largr volume of information it contains almost any genealogy site may be user unfriendly.
In fact, it may be too heavy for the spontaneous visitor who does not seek any specific information,
and for those who know what they are looking for, beyond that the rest of the information may seem irrelevant.

This site has more than
41.000 pages
interconnected
so that
navigation between them is intuitively understood to any visitor,
although the sheer size of the website
can turn heavy any possible navigation.

The language of the website is
English
with two exceptions:
These introductory pages are available in
English, Netherlands and Spanish;
and the notes that add information about people in the individual pages,
are in most cases in the language of the original source.

At the top of every page is a menu.
At the bottom are the same options of thw menu above:

Leads to the home page that connects to the introduction.

surnames
Leads to an alphabetical list of surnames.
It allows you to search for a person or specific group of people. It takes you to the indidual pages of each person on this site. Individual pages are interconnected following family links..

trees
Leads to a list of genealogies of the families we research.
Each tree has an option to access to a graphical version at top.

photos
Leads to our image collection which spans across several interconnected pages.

contact
It's for the event you wish to contact us by email.
We always welcome any comments from you, especially if you have something to say about the family.

Software

The genealogical data base has been created with
Personal Ancestral File v. 5.2,
freeware of The Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-Day Saints.
In order to transfer the data to webpages it has been used
GED2HTML v. 3.6,
software developed by Eugene Stark.
To create family tree charts we used
Grafica Genealogica v. 1.12.6
freeware developed by Tom de Neef.

The output produced by these programs has been adapted to our own design using
Macromedia Dreamweaver v. 8.0.
After digitalization the photographs have been adjusted individually using
Adobe Photoshop CS2
and inserted manually in each page.
In the cases that audio has been inserted in the pages it has been used
Macromedia Flash MX v. 6.0.

This site has been designed for monitor resolution of
1024 x 768 px., or larger.
This site has been tested with
Windows XP
operating system and with
Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer, and Opera browsers,
without showing any major problems.

Currently most of this website is hosted on the server of
Rootsweb,
a free service whose quality we are satisfied.
As compensation for this service a banner shows at the top and bottom of each page with an additional menu of this sponsor.
